Embed Your Movie in the Blog

You need to have at least two browser tabs open at this point - on on YouTube and the other on Blogger. Since yo the Blogger you are reading this you must be on Blogger so what you need to do now is to log on to your Blogger.

1. In the top right-hand side of the Blog you will see a link "Sign In". Click on it and enter the details you were given.
   
   

2. Once signed in click on “Dashboard” at the top of the page
   
   

3. You should now see the “Magical Media Mystery Tour” blog edit page.
   
   

4. You will see an item “Edit Profile”. If there is time later we can come back and enter some details but for now Click on “New Post”
   
   

5. You will now see the new blog post box with a space for the title and a bigger box for your blog post. For now simply enter the title which for this workshop is your name. ( N.B. it is VERY important that you enter something in the title box of the blog post}
   
   

6. Do not save or publish the post at this time as we will be coming back to this page after a visit to YouTube.

7. Now go to your YouTube account.
   
   
   
8. Sometimes YouTube can be a bit confusing to navigate when you are simply looking for your own videos rather than trawling for uploaded movies. Along the top it will say "Hi username". Click on the link that is your username and you should then see your uploaded videos.
   
   
9. Hopefully by now your video has been ????. Click on the thumbnail of your movie and it should start to play.
   
   
10. To the right of your movie you should see the word "embed" and some code below it.
    
    
11. Click on the code and it should become highlighted (selected) - if not select it manually by dragging around it.
    
    
12. Copy the code into your clipboard (CONTROL + C)
    
    
13. Now go to your blog posting and paste the code in (CONTROL + V)
    
    
14. Finally click on PUBLISH POST which appears beneath the posting box.
